Overview
Nerve is a secure operational signaling application for trusted infrastructure and operational workflows. By accessing or using Nerve, you agree to these Terms of Service. Nerve is operated by TC Infra.
These terms apply to the Nerve website, mobile applications, command-line tools, APIs, hosted relay, optional agent features, documentation, and related services, unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
Eligibility
Nerve is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. You may use the service only if you can form a binding agreement and only in compliance with applicable laws and these terms.
License
Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Nerve for your own lawful operational workflows. We and our licensors retain all rights not expressly granted. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, or provide Nerve as a managed service to others except where allowed by applicable law or by the license terms of open-source components.
Authorized use
You may use Nerve only for lawful, authorized, and trusted operational workflows. You are responsible for ensuring that any systems, agents, accounts, credentials, or infrastructure connected to Nerve are owned by you or used with proper authorization.
You are responsible for configuring alerts, escalation paths, backup channels, rate limits, access controls, secrets, runbooks, and human approvals in a way that is appropriate for your environment.
Accounts and access
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account, credentials, devices, tokens, keys, and any access mechanisms used with Nerve. You must notify us if you believe your account or access credentials have been compromised.
Sender DSNs, webhook URLs, agent tokens, mobile devices, passcodes, platform accounts, and recovery mechanisms are under your control. You are responsible for rotating credentials, removing lost devices, restricting agent privileges, and reviewing any activity generated through your credentials.
Security-sensitive workflows
Nerve is designed to support secure operational signaling, but you remain responsible for validating actions, reviewing operational controls, and maintaining appropriate safeguards around your infrastructure and workflows.
Optional agent actions can affect systems you control. You are responsible for every command, wrapper, script, allowlist, environment variable, privilege boundary, approval, and result connected to an agent. Do not expose an agent to systems or privileges unless you are prepared for that operational risk.
No emergency or sole-reliance use
Nerve is not an emergency service, life-safety system, medical system, regulated incident response provider, guaranteed on-call provider, or substitute for monitoring, backups, escalation, access control, disaster recovery, or human review. Do not rely on Nerve as the only way to detect, respond to, or recover from production incidents, security incidents, safety events, data loss, financial loss, or other critical events.
Prohibited use
You may not use Nerve to access, control, disrupt, damage, or interfere with systems without authorization. You may not use the service for abuse, malware, unauthorized surveillance, credential theft, spam, fraud, or any activity that violates applicable law or third-party rights.
You may not attempt to bypass rate limits, probe or attack the service, overload notification infrastructure, use Nerve to transmit unlawful or sensitive data without authorization, or use the service in a way that could harm other users, platforms, app stores, infrastructure providers, or the public.
Encrypted payloads and content
Nerve is designed to route encrypted operational payloads. You are responsible for the content, commands, signals, metadata, and workflows that you create, transmit, approve, or connect through the service.
Do not put secrets, credentials, private keys, regulated data, personal data, or other sensitive information into alert titles, labels, metadata, logs, or webhook payloads unless you have confirmed that your configuration, retention, encryption, and access controls are appropriate for that data.
Availability
Nerve may change, pause, limit, or discontinue parts of the service at any time. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available for every operational scenario.
Unless we sign a separate written agreement, Nerve does not include any service-level agreement, guaranteed delivery time, guaranteed push notification delivery, guaranteed message retention, guaranteed agent execution, or guaranteed incident response.
Third-party services
Nerve may rely on third-party services for hosting, authentication, notifications, diagnostics, security, and related infrastructure. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and policies.
Push delivery, authentication, app distribution, payments, networking, DNS, hosting, and mobile operating system behavior may depend on Apple, Google, Cloudflare, Firebase, GitHub, hosting providers, device vendors, carriers, browsers, and other third parties. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy decisions, review decisions, delivery failures, account actions, or changes to third-party services.
App stores
If you download Nerve from the Apple App Store or Google Play, the applicable app store terms also apply. App store providers are not responsible for the Nerve service, support, maintenance, claims, data handling, or third-party integrations except to the extent required by their own terms or applicable law.
Open-source components
Nerve may include or interoperate with open-source software. Open-source components are governed by their own licenses. These terms do not limit rights you may have under applicable open-source licenses.
Export and sanctions
You may not use, export, re-export, or transfer Nerve in violation of applicable export control, sanctions, or trade laws. You represent that you are not located in a restricted jurisdiction and are not on a prohibited-party list where use of the service would be unlawful.
No warranty
Nerve is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nerve and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, business, or operational availability arising from or related to your use of the service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to Nerve will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for Nerve in the 12 months before the claim or 100 USD. These limits apply regardless of the legal theory and even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose.
Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Nerve, TC Infra, and their operators, contributors, service providers, and affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from your use of Nerve, your content, your credentials, your agents, your infrastructure, your violation of these terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to Nerve if we believe the service is being used in violation of these terms, applicable law, security requirements, or the rights of others.
We may also suspend or limit access to protect users, the service, third-party infrastructure, app stores, or the public from security, abuse, legal, reliability, or operational risk.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date on this page.
